The Dark Days Are the Ones I Have to Paint Novel 2021 Synopsis Between 2017 and 2020 I spent a fair amount of time on the road. I went on tour with my band MU, mostly in Japan, performed live my film Event No.2, I released a photobook called Querencia, directed Event No.3, composed, performed, recorded, mixed, mastered and released the album A Journal of Transform with the artist Céli Lee, moved briefly from London to Berlin, to return to London. I made several trips to Tokyo, Seville, Barcelona, Nagoya, Weimar, Chaville, Beijing, Brühl, etc. and wrote, composed, performed, recorded, mixed and mastered the Sergio Calderón & Céli Lee album, The Eternal Dice which would be released later in Summer 2020. The diaries and notes from this period are the basis of "The Dark Days Are the Ones I Have to Paint". Between Fall 2020 and Summer 2021, I copied, selected and reworked this material. In this work, this time is remembered, evoked, the motifs, the language, the images, the encounters, it's the here and now that is intercepted with the memory. English Rights / Translation Rights |
