"CHOSEN LORDS is a collection of writings selected from my diaries, from late 2021, they are hidden texts, which are not texts, rather they are fragments, maxims or epigrams. By themselves they don’t make for a story, or an essay, or even a poem, but I wanted to save them from my notebooks. And these hidden texts that have no reason to exist need warriors to protect them. By chance, when Céli Lee was working on a new series of drawings about warriors, I saw that these were the warriors I needed to protect the texts. They are my knights errant, the chosen lords."
