On Silence, A Tale of Autumn Novel 2024 Synopsis On Silence is a book that I didn’t plan, but I had to write. Silence is a subject that comes up again and again, not only in my writings, poems and notes but also in my visual work, and in my music. With silence, I don’t mean the vulgar notion of silence as complete absence of sound, I mean the moments of inner silence, with me being-there. You have often heard what I think of silence. With On Silence I wanted to collect my work on the subject, which I’ve been writing for years. But they were only fragments. At first I thought of writing an introduction to each fragment or poem, or note, or observation, or whatever material I had. But I didn’t want to just tell the story of those fragments, I wanted to put it into question, to embark on the adventure of finding silence, to surprise myself. In reality those fragments were portals to silence, and there, I found my story of silence, which turned out to be what I call On Silence, A Tale of Autumn. On Silence, A Tale of Autumn was written quietly between two Autumns, 2023 and 2024. English Rights / Translation Rights |
